This year Warrenville welcomes endless entertainment and lots of fun all summer long. Cerny Park hosts this year’s parade and fireworks display—a two-day event which also coincides with the town’s 5k walk/run. The party doesn’t stop there, Warrenville is a host to a wide array of events, forest hikes, and festivals. Make sure to check out what Warrenville and Chicago have going on this summer.
Summer Daze Festival
In celebration of summertime, the City of Warrenville, Warrenville Park District, and the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce are bringing a festival to Warrenville! Expect live music, entertainment, food, and fun for everyone. Located at Warrenville City Hall Complex, hours for Saturday, August 2nd is 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and for Sunday, August 3rd is between 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Not to be missed, this is the festival’s 42nd run!
On Friday, Summer Daze festival features free, live concerts from Sixteen Candles, Planet Groove, and The Alibi. Sixteen Candles will be playing ’80s hits and The Alibi will cover songs from the classic rock of the ’60s onward. Planet Groove features a 3-piece horn band that plays a variety of funky tunes from the ’60s to Latin & Pop music of today. If you’re feeling festive, face painting is available between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
A car show will be headlining day two of the festival with tons of live entertainment. The line-up features Country Tribute Artists who will be playing all of your favorite popular country jams. It Takes Two & Centerfold will both be covering pop hits from ’60s til today. Rico, described as a “rich sound of diversified musical cultures,” will also be performing this day. Miss Liz will round off the evening with children songs. Expect lots of vendors and yummy food as well.Back to all posts
